Mallorca is a much loved destination for those who love travelling by motorbike. Its eclectic geographical landscapes allow you to explore on two wheels an infinite list of coves and beaches along the Mediterranean coast; following the curves of the impressive Serra de Tramuntana, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO; or let yourself be taken away by the purest essence of inland Mallorca through the winding countryside. At Cabot Hotels and our apartments in Puerto Pollensa, we want to suggest a route that will leave you wanting more. Let that engine roar!
From la Seu to the Palacio de los Reyes in Mallorca, by motorbike
After a great breakfast in our Restaurant Romantic, on the seafront in Puerto Pollensa, it’s time to head on a route towards the capital of Mallorca: Palma. See how the most emblematic building of Mallorca soars on the seafront. The Catedral de Mallorca, is also known as la Seu, it is one of the most internationally well-known works of architecture of Palma. Carry on your route until you reach the Castillo de Bellver, one of the only circular castles in Europe and soak up its history.
Discover the Serra de Tramuntana, which wraps itself around our apartments in Puerto Pollensa
We head out of Palma towards the north of the island. Not before passing through the town of Santa Maria and take a look at the Avenc de Son Pou, a natural hollow. Before we start our journey to the Serra de Tramuntana, located to our left, we visit the Castillo de Alaró, measuring 822 metres in height. Now we head to the mountains: following the trail for Bunyola in order to reach the first stop of the Serra, Sóller. Here you will be able to see the beautiful Sant Bartomeu Church, which crowns the main square, and its orange trees characterise this area. If you have time, we recommend taking the road towards Deià and having a look at this town which is ranked as one of the most beautiful areas in Mallorca, and Valldemossa, known across the world for its musical influences and impressive views.
The final stretch towards the interior of Mallorca
After being left speechless by the beauty of this impressive mountain range, we have to head to the inside of the island. To do this we aim for the town of Selva and its parque del Serral de Ses Monges. After going through Selva, we arrive at Inca, a town known for its jewellery and footwear. We head off from here to the main stop on the route: Sineu. In this charming inland town you can visit the Palacio de los Reyes in Mallorca and park up your bike to have a look at the photos which you have taken along the way. It’s time to breathe and take in the grandeur of Mallorca. From here it’s an easy return to Puerto Pollensa where you can rest in one of the Cabot Hotels apartments or hotels.
